Gasoline Holds at $2.85 a Gallon, Lundberg Survey Says
Gasoline’s average price held at $2.85 a gallon from two weeks ago, according to the latest Lundberg Survey of fuel prices released Sunday.
Mid-grade’s average slipped a penny to $2.97, while premium held at $3.09, analyst Trilby Lundberg said in her twice-monthly survey of filling stations.
The highest average gasoline price in the continental United States was in Chicago, where regular $3.15 per gallon; the lowest was in Tulsa, Okla., at $2.60.
Crude oil rose $1.42 Friday to finish the trading week at $85.12 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, Bloomberg reported, marking the first time in a week it topped that level.
The Department of Energy will release its weekly survey of diesel and gasoline prices Monday afternoon in Washington.
