FourKites Expands Predictive Tracking Into Europe

FourKites, a predictive supply chain visibility provider, has expanded operations into the United Kingdom, according to a Nov. 30 press release. The Chicago-based company also plans to open offices in Europe over the next few months.

The company currently tracks loads in more than 70 countries, including in North and South America, Europe and Africa. It now operates five office locations in Chicago; Chennai, India; Mexico City; Sao Paulo; and Bristol, U.K.

“Large, global shippers have seen the power that predictive visibility provides, and scaling internationally will help us provide unprecedented value to our customers,” FourKites founder and CEO Mathew Elenjickal said. “Our expanded presence in Europe will help our customers deliver exceptional service and operational excellence.”

FourKites uses a proprietary algorithm to calculate shipment arrival times, a function it markets as time- and money-saving for its customers. Its network consists of more than 4 million GPS/ELD devices, and its services cover all modes, including ocean, rail, parcel and over-the road.��
