FMCSA: CDL Rules Could Take 26,000 Drivers a Year Off Road

Congress required the FMCSA to improve the way states run their CDL programs. Congress acted after reports that drivers with long driving violation records and license suspensions in one state were able to get CDLs in other states because of state and local governments’ lapses in reporting serious violations.
