FleetMatics Group, a provider of Web-based fleet management services, said it is planning an initial public offering of its common stock.

The offering is expected to begin after a review by the U.S. Securities and Exhange Commission, the company said in a statement Thursday.

FleetMatics said it confidentially submitted its draft registration statement for the public offering on May 17.
