Karl Simon, director of EPA’s compliance and innovative strategies division, told Transport Topics the agency was in talks with several engine manufacturers and the final guidance on SCR would be issued “shortly.”Some truck makers — Volvo, Mack and Freightliner — announced they will use SCR to meet EPA’s 2010 standards, which call for drastic cuts in emissions.
