Echo Global Logistics’ Profit Declines

Echo Global Logistics said its first-quarter profit fell from a year ago, but its revenue improved.

Echo’s net income declined to $3 million, or 13 cents per share, from $3.3 million, or 15 cents, a year ago.

Net revenue climbed 17.7% to $38.5 million, the Chicago-based third-party logistics company said.

Echo said it had a 12.8% gain in shipment volume in the first quarter.
