Trucker Tony Walter spends his days and nights hauling freight for C.R. England, but the Salt Lake City-based refrigerated carrier never sees a dime of the profits.

But it’s not a case of embezzlement. Rather, it’s the generosity of Chairman William K. England, who is donating the proceeds from Walter’s truck to help the American Diabetes Association finance its research.
England and Walter have a personal stake in seeing that scientists have sufficient funding to discover a cure: Both have the disease. Also, the two men want to spare their descendants
he anguish they have experienced because of diabetes, which afflicts almost 6% of the U.S. population and is the nation’s seventh-leading cause of death.
So, the carrier put the truck out on the road and Walter behind the wheel to help spread the message about the disease and the need to fund research. On the side of the tractor is the company identification number ADA1 and a message about its mission. Also, a fender has a dedication to Annalisa Cannon, England’s 17-year-old granddaughter, who also has diabetes.
