Component supplier Commercial Vehicle Group said former Caterpillar executive Richard Lavin has been hired as CEO.

Lavin succeeds Mervin Dunn, who announced his retirement in March but said he will remain in the post until a successor is appointed.

Most recently, Lavin was with Caterpillar as group president of construction industries and growth markets, responsible for the company’s earthmoving, excavation and building construction products divisions.

CVG supplies cab-related products for the heavy-duty truck market.
