Calif. Aims to Cut Emissions, Improve Four Freight Corridors
Trucks operating in California would be required to meet tighter emission standards under a plan proposed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) to spend $3.1 billion in bond money to improve four key freight corridors.
California’s Goods Movement Action Plan outlined nearly 200 projects — in the Bay Area, Los Angeles-San Bernardino region, San Diego border region and the San Joaquin Valley — meant to improve the state’s port and highway infrastructure.
