Trucks will have to pay $10 more starting Dec. 1 to travel into Manhattan across the bridges or through the tunnels operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

Under a schedule adopted by the Port Authority in 2011, toll rates for cars and trucks increase every Dec. 1 through 2015.

The latest increase means a 5-axle truck with E-ZPass that pays $55 off-peak and $60 during peak traffic times will pay $65 and $70, respectively.

The toll for a 5-axle truck without E-ZPass will go to $85 from $75. Trucks with more than three axles cannot use the Holland Tunnel.

Car tolls will rise 75 cents, so that with E-ZPass off-peak the fee will go to $9 from $8.25 and for peak traffic hours to $11 from $10.25. The cash toll stays at $13 for all hours.

Besides the Holland Tunnel, the Port Authority owns the Lincoln Tunnel and the George Washington, Outerbridge, Goethals and Bayonne bridges.
