Bose Corp. said that its sophisticated new heavy-duty truck seat is now available to small fleets and ow-operators at five installation sites.

The Bose Ride System seat is designed to prevent back pain and driver fatigue by countering and compensating for bumps before the driver feels them, the company said.

The authorized installation sites are in Southborough, Mass.; Detroit; Crossville, Tenn.; Dallas, and Phoenix, Bose said.

Bose introduced the seat in January (click here for previous story), and then announced in March that it would cost $5,995.
