Averitt Training Program Approved for Veteran Benefits
Averitt Express announced that it鈥檚 offering an on-the-job training program that is approved for veterans benefits, as the carrier commits to hiring 1,200 military veterans by 2020.
In addition to an Averitt paycheck and $5,000 tuition/transition assistance bonus, veterans can earn as much as $1,140 per month tax-free for up to 12 months using available GI Bill funds.
New associates participating in the program receive a combination of behind-the-wheel training and mentorship throughout the 12-month program, according to the Cookeville, Tenn.-based carrier.
