The price of goods imported to the United States rose 1.3% in April in a third straight gain, the Labor Department said Thursday.

Prices excluding petroleum gained 0.2%. Export prices rose 0.3%.

The gain exceeded economists’ estimates of a 1% increase, Bloomberg reported.
