Amerit Fleet Solutions is extending its reach into public safety fleets after acquiring , a firm known for customizing emergency vehicles.

The deal, , brings Derotic under Amerit’s Vector Fleet Management subsidiary, combining Derotic’s specialized upfitting capabilities with Vector’s national service footprint. The move positions Vector to offer a broader set of services to municipalities and public safety agencies across the country.

Derotic, based in Rancho Cordova, Calif., outfits fire, police, utility and other government vehicles. Its work includes designing and installing advanced lighting, communications and safety systems tailored to first responders’ needs. Since its founding in 2016, the company has built a reputation for responsiveness and service across California and Nevada.

Amerit, headquartered in Walnut Creek, Calif., provides maintenance and repair for more than 300,000 vehicles nationwide. Vector, its subsidiary, serves government agencies, utilities and private companies with maintenance and parts management.

Derotic will continue to operate under its established brand while gaining access to Amerit’s national network. Company officials said customers can expect an expanded set of capabilities as the businesses integrate.
