Truckload Carrier Sky Focuses on Southwest Dry Van Freight

Third-party logistics specialist said Sept. 28 it acquired El Paso, Texas-based Sky Trans Group Holdings, which operates as , for an undisclosed amount.
Sky Transportation Services is a regional truckload carrier focused on dry van freight, principally in the Southwestern United States, including cross-border trade between the United States and Mexico.
Sky has 200 tractors and 500 trailers. The company鈥檚 new owner said the deal is expected to add over $60 million in annual revenue for Warehouse Services in 2023 and enhance the Greenville, S.C.-based firm鈥檚 cross-border capabilities.

The enhanced set of services and scale that WSI provides will rapidly accelerate our strategic objectives,鈥 said Luna.
WSI operates in 19 states and Canada, manages more than 20 million square feet and employs more than 4,000 people. It has three business segments: third-party logistics, freight brokerage and transportation.
