COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The growing importance of fleets being able to regulate the speed of individual trucks through remote, over-the-air engine updates should be taken into account as the federal government considers a mandate requiring heavy-duty vehicles to utilize speed limiters, the president of Daimler Trucks North America said.

MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems provided an in-cab demonstration of the Bendix Wingman Fusion safety system here during a Kenworth media event.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall of more than 9,000 additional trailers because of a defect with the Bendix SR-5 spring brakes that the manufacturer believes could affect up to 194,410 trailers in total.
