Yokohama Recalls 6,992 Commercial Tires

The was notified by the company that it is voluntarily recalling the size 11R22.5 of its 504C tire brand. The recalled tires were produced at a plant in West Point, Miss., between June 27, 2022, and Dec. 4, 2022.
鈥淭he recall, initiated in accordance with NHTSA regulations, was issued because the tires may have been manufactured with an improperly manufactured belt cushion splice,鈥 said in a recall notice. 鈥淭here is potential for air to migrate into the sidewall, increasing the risk of a crash.鈥
The Yokohama 504C is a highway terrain and all-season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. The 11R22.5 model was made for all axle positions of the vehicle. It鈥檚 designed to enhance the year-round performing ability.
