Volvo AB said Friday its North American truck deliveries fell 10% in April from a year ago.

Deliveries of its Volvo and Mack brands in North America fell to 4,237 trucks from 4,712 a year ago, Gothenberg, Sweden-based Volvo said in a statement.

Volvo-brand truck North American deliveries slipped 3% to 2,350 trucks, while Mack’s fell 17% to 1,848.

The year-over-year declines for April were smaller than monthly drops earlier in the year. Year-to-date, the two brands are down 32% from a year ago.

A small number of the company’s Renault and UD Trucks brands made up the remainder of the North American tally.

Worldwide heavy-duty truck deliveries for all Volvo brands rose 1% in April to 14,172 units, though year-to-date deliveries are down 16% to 46,072

Volvo AB is the parent company of Volvo Trucks, Mack Trucks and the Eicher, UD Trucks and Renault Trucks brands.
