U.S. Xpress Completes Pinner Purchase
Truckload carrier U.S. Xpress Enterprises said its Xpress Global Systems subsidiary finalized its purchase of Pinner Transportation. Terms were not released.
Based primarily in the Southeast and Southwest, Pinner is a regional less-than-truckload carrier and logistics firm, U.S. Xpress said in a statement.
鈥淴press Global Systems is one of the most successful floor-covering logistics providers in the transportation industry, and we believe the addition of Pinner Transportation will further strengthen our scope of service,鈥 said Patrick Quinn, U.S. Xpress鈥 co-chairman.
Pinner鈥檚 facilities in Midland, Texas; Louisville, Ky.; Albuquerque, N.Mex.; and Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville, Fla., will become part of the Xpress Global Systems network.

U.S. Xpress, which became a private company last year, is ranked No. 18 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
