TransForce Inc. said Friday its fourth-quarter profit slipped from a year ago, but its full-year profit jumped 51% as revenue rose to a record.

Fourth-quarter net income fell to C$36.1 million, or 37 cents per share, from C$41.7 million, or 41 cents, a year earlier. Adjusted net income rose 12% to C$37.8 million.

TransForce, Saint-Laurent, Quebec, is ranked No. 8 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
