Transervice Logistics Inc. has created Transervice Integrated Solutions, a freight-management business operating in Southern California, to provide brokerage services and to help companies fill backhauls.

The business was launched after the acquisition of software business Logistadvise, which was designed to provide cost savings through automation, the statement from Lake Success, New York-based Transervice said.

The action was announced as alternatives to freight management, such as mobile apps to match freight providers and carriers, proliferate. Transervice’s offerings include dedicated contract carriage and fleet management.

Transervice said the new business, which has been in a limited test operation since October, offers customers the option of using the software themselves or having Transervice Integrated Solutions handle functions such as live load tracking and shipment analytics.
