Senate Confirms Madison as FHWA Chief

The Senate has confirmed Thomas Madison to head the Federal Highway Administration.

Madison, who has served as a state transportation official in New York, succeeds Rick Capka, who resigned in February.

In the interim, Deputy Administrator James Ray had headed the agency, which is part of the Department of Transportation.
