Ryder System said that it has reached an agreement with Intelligent Global Pooling Systems to manage the flow of plastic pallets.

iGPS builds and manages a pool of lightweight plastic pallets embedded with radio frequency identification to allow for easiracking of shipments, Ryder said last week.

Ryder, Miami, does business in full-service truck leasing, dedicated contract carriage and third-party logistics.

Ryder said it had signed a multiyear contract with iGPS, Orlando, Fla., to provide logistics services to manage the flow of up to 175 million pallets each year.
