RoadOne IntermodaLogistics has acquired C&V Trucking in a deal that will add 30 new trucks and a new terminal in Milford, Connecticut, to the drayage provider, the company announced听Sept. 13.

The deal enhances RoadOne鈥檚 presence in the New York-New Jersey port, which is the largest, in terms of container volume, on the East Coast.

Keith Grogan, a senior vice president at C&V Trucking, will run the southern Connecticut service center for RoadOne.

鈥淲ith the addition of C&V Trucking, we鈥檝e bolstered our distribution network and drayage service capabilities in the Northeast. We are confident Keith鈥檚 extensive intermodal experience and strong financial background will contribute greatly to our strong growth in this critical region,鈥 said Ken Kellaway, CEO of RoadOne IntermodaLogistics.

The acquisition also will assist with the company鈥檚 ability to comply with the electronic log mandate that goes into effect in December 2017 and the hours-of-service rules.
