Oil Declines to End Week Below $96 a Barrel

Oil fell $1.45 on Friday to finish the trading week below $96 a barrel, after holding above $97 the previous four days, Bloomberg News reported.

Crude futures closed the New York Mercantile Exchange trading day at $95.86 a barrel, Bloomberg reported, the lowest level in a week.

The price declined following Friday’s report that and that Wal-Mart Stores’ sales were slow to start the month, Bloomberg said.

DOE will release its weekly price survey of filling stations on Tuesday afternoon in Washington, due to the federal holiday on Monday.
