Ohio Company To Buy Kenan For $84 Million

Advantage Management Group, an Ohio-based holding company with trucking and logistics assets, will buy tank truck carrier Kenan Transport Co. for about $84 million in cash, creating one of the nation’s largest bulk haulers of petroleum products, operating in 35 states.

Kenan Transport, the 52-year-old North Carolina carrier, will become part of a new holding company to be called Kenan Advantage Group. Advantage, which owns four other trucking companies, will pay Kenan stockholders $35 a share.
