Navistar Issues Fiscal 2009 Guidance
Navistar International Corp. Monday said its net income for its fiscal year 2009 ending Oct. 31, 2009, will be $370 million to $410 million, or $5.10 to $5.60 per share.
Navistar also said the that U.S. and Canadian retail sales for Class 6-8 trucks and school buses for the fiscal year will total between 244,000 to 256,000 units.
Industry volumes totaled 244,100 units in its 2008 fiscal year, when volume was among the lowest in 30 years, the company said in a statement.
Navistar, wich makes International brand trucks, is holding a conference call with analysts Monday. Last week, it reported a fourth-quarter loss for the three-month period ended Oct. 31, 2008.
