J.B. Hunt Boosts Supply Chain Inclusivity With $1 Million Scholarship Fund

J.B. Hunt Transport Services and the University of Arkansas jointly endowed a $1 million scholarship fund June 2 to advance supply chain sustainability and inclusivity.
The Inclusion in Supply Chain Endowed Scholarship Fund will establish an ongoing program to encourage students to pursue supply chain careers.
鈥淪ince launching our collaboration in December, we have identified several opportunities to improve inclusion and sustainability that we are excited to ignite,鈥 Shelley Simpson, chief commercial officer and executive vice president of people and human resources at J.B. Hunt, said in a statement. 鈥淭hese funds will help jump-start immediate needs while creating a long-term initiative to ensure that pursuing a career in supply chain is available to everyone.鈥

Scholarship recipients must be enrolled at the Sam M. Walton College of Business, working toward an undergraduate degree in supply chain and demonstrate their potential to advance inclusivity.

J.B. Hunt also contributed $250,000 to boost current inclusion initiatives at Walton College.
