Trucking executives took a new look at some old issues Nov. 8 and 9 at the American Trucking Associations Human Resources Forum in Alexandria, Va.

Among the topics were the driver shortage and the numerous roles technology plays in trucking.

Driver retention problems and technology intersected in a discussion that included Tom Hines, a consultant at America’s Job Bank. The bank operates a World Wide Web site that offers an information interchange for both job seekers and potential employers.

The site, at , includes data about salaries, requirements and job responsibilities and offers a forum for job seekers to post their resumes.
