Private equity firm American Industrial Partners said it has purchased trailer manufacturer Heil Trailer International from Dover Corp. Terms were not disclosed.

Heiappointed Randall Swift, formerlyÌýthe chief executive of Allied Specialty Vehicles, as its CEO, AIP said.

In addition, Bob Foster has rejoined Heil Trailer as its chairman, AIP said. Foster wasÌýHeil’s president for 15 years prior to his retirement in 2006.

Heil Trailer, which makes liquid, dry-bulk and specialty trailers, has three manufacturing facilities in North America along with facilities in Thailand and Argentina.
