The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has rolled out the Fuel Max RSA tire for regional, longhaul and urban markets.

“The new Fuel Max RSA has been designed to deliver numerous benefits to help lower the operating costs of regional/longhaul fleets that operate mainly on-highway and have some exposure to urban driving,” said Norberto Flores, Goodyear's marketing manager.

Fuel efficiency continues to be a fleet requirement, he said, and was a factor in developing the SmartWay-compliant tire.

Its features include cool-running compounds, a tri-layer compound, a non-evolving tread, super-tensisteel belts and Goodyear’s Unisteel casing construction for optimal retreadability.

The tire will be available in multiple sizes and load ranges starting in January.
