Gasoline Falls for First Time This Year, Lundberg Survey Says
Gasoline’s pump price fell for the first time this year, dropping more than a nickel to $3.91 a gallon, according to the latest Lundberg Survey of filling stations released Sunday.
The twice-monthly survey showed that diesel’s average price fell 4 cents to $4.17 a gallon from two weeks earlier.
Chicago had the highest price among cities surveyed, at $4.26 per gallon, even though prices there plunged nearly 19 cents in the two weeks ended Friday.
Tulsa, Okla., had the lowest price, at $3.52 per gallon.
The Department of Energy will release its weekly survey of diesel and gasoline pump prices Monday afternoon in Washington.
