WASHINGTON — Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administrator Joseph M. Clapp announced during remarks to transportation journalists and lobbyists the names of five people who lost their lives in truck-related crashes.Clapp said he believed the public identification of victims would serve as a reminder that saving lives is his agency’s ultimate purpose.In a Feb. 22 luncheon talk to the Transportation Table at the National Press Club, Clapp identified four automobile occupants and one truck driver who died in four crashes.For the full story, see the March 4 print edition of Transport Topics.
