Emery Pilots Vote to Authorize Strike

Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA) said Monday that 96% of Emery Wordwide Airlines’ pilots have voted to authorize a strike to achieve their contract goals.

The contract talks are currently in their 27th month. Emery and its pilots are not in agreement over compensation and job-protection issues, resulting in the authorization to strike.

Emery Worldwide is owned by CNF Inc. and specializes in shipments over 70 pounds. Three regional trucking companies also owned by CNF handle the overnight or second-day delivery.
