Echo Opens Sacramento Site to Grow Refrigerated LTL Network

EchoChill is supported by a nationwide network of temperature-controlled facilities. The new storage facility aims to improve services for customers in the Pacific Northwest, Northern California and the upper mountain states.
“By offering consolidated refrigerated transportation, Echo is able to provide a faster and more cost-effective solution with lower claims potential,” said Dave Menzel, Echo’s president and chief operating officer.
EchoChill combines smaller and chilled shipments into one full load with its consolidated freight strategy. By keeping freight on the same trailer throughout transit, the company noted, it minimizes handling and eliminates extra stops, container switches and lost time.
“This new facility creates additional flexibility for our West Coast clients and expands our national, temperature-controlled footprint,” said Joe Amici, Echo’s director of consolidation. “By leveraging consolidation, our clients can also benefit from a more eco-friendly shipping option.”
