Continental Express Adds Chicago-Area Terminal

Continental Express opened its ninth location nationwide with a new terminal in Illinois, the company announced June 24.
The Oswego, Ill.-based terminal includes a 3,500-square-foot office and shop space and capacity to house 100 tractors and trailers. Continental said the expansion will aid in servicing its growing portfolio of customers in the region.
鈥淕rowth is unlimited in the Chicago market, and as long as we continue to rely on our three golden rules of safety, service and communication, we will continue to pursue expansion opportunities,鈥 Continental Vice President Bradley Gottemoeller said. 鈥淥ur industry is in a historic freight recession. To rise above that shows when you have a great team, great things can happen.鈥

Continental also has opened three other terminals over the past four years in Indiana, Ohio and Virginia. The company attributes this period of growth to its strong partnerships with customers and a dedication to customer service.
