CNG One Source said it acquired Emission Solutions Inc., which makes natural-gas engines for heavy-duty trucks. Terms were not disclosed.
Emission Solutions will move from its base in McKinney, Texas, to Erie, Pa., CNG One Source鈥檚 headquarters.
CNG One Source said it expects to work with original equipment manufacturers to provide new natural-gas engines with the company鈥檚 technology, and it also will be repowering existing engines.
鈥淭he purchase of ESI will allow CNG One Source to further develop the industry for medium- and heavy-duty natural-gas vehicles,鈥 said Karen Teslovich, CNG One Source鈥檚 president.
鈥淐ummins Westport and now CNG One Source will be able to offer multiple engine types for consumers to operate their vehicles on a dedicated natural-gas platform,鈥 she said in a statement.
