Anderson-DuBose Supports Sustainability With Electric Yard Truck

Orange EV announced one of its all-electric Class 8 yard trucks is now operating at The Anderson-DuBose Co. to move trailers used in its McDonald鈥檚 distribution network.

Each year, the carrier sets aggressive sustainability targets to reduce electricity consumption, diesel fuel usage and waste-to-landfill, according to Anderson-DuBose.

鈥淚鈥檝e heard nothing but great comments from the drivers,鈥 Tom Hank, general manager of the Anderson-DuBose facility in Rochester, N.Y., where the new yard truck operates, said in a statement. 鈥淥range EV鈥檚 truck is more comfortable, and our operators really like the quiet and smooth operation. Management is pleased that we can provide a safer and healthier working environment 鈥 the truck has no engine and no emissions.鈥



Anderson-DuBose, based in Lordstown, Ohio, distributes to more than 570 McDonald鈥檚 and Chipotle restaurants in three states, according to the company.
