“The overall economic market may not be growing, but the contract logistics industry is, and outsourcing is,” GXO CEO Patrick Kelleher said during an interview with Transport Topics.

GXO Logistics reported revenue and earnings growth during the third quarter, its first under the leadership of new CEO Patrick Kelleher, the company reported Nov. 5.

CEO Malcolm Wilson touted $307 million of new business wins in the second quarter, bringing the six-month total this year to more than a half a billion dollars.

“Patrick is a world-class operator with the relevant experience to lead GXO through its next phase of growth,” GXO Board Chairman Brad Jacobs said.

GXO Logistics experienced an increase in revenue but a loss in earnings during the first quarter of 2025, the company reported May 8.

The Greenwich, Conn.-based contract logistics firm posted net income of $100 million, or 83 cents a diluted share, for the three months ending Dec. 31.

GXO Logistics announced Dec. 3 that CEO Malcolm Wilson plans to retire in 2025, but he will continue to lead the company during the search for a successor.

GREENWICH, Conn. — GXO Logistics this year has laid off more than 500 employees in the U.S., while it plans to cut nearly 400 more positions across two sites, according to public records.

GXO Logistics experienced a 28% jump in revenue as its operations built momentum in the third quarter, the company reported Nov. 5.
