It’s been a rocky comeback for Tesla, whose share price has more than doubled since it hit a low in early April amid a wider market meltdown sparked by President Trump’s tariff offensive.

Mortgage rates have been hovering in the 6.3%-6.4% range the past couple months, near their one-year lows, which has marginally helped to move some buyers off the sidelines.

“It does look like some more positive signs of underlying inflation slowing,” Citigroup economist Veronica Clark said, while adding that rent costs are showing “some stickiness.” 

Chinese leader Xi Jinping said officials should not only be assessed by the economic growth rate, but also their achievements in ensuring people’s well-being and maintaining stability.

The growth was largely supported by India’s push into markets like China, although there was also a sharp rebound in shipments to its biggest export destination, the U.S.
